Giving

People always think the church is asking for money, we believe that a vital part of belonging is helping to 'pay the bills'. Making a regular financial contribution to the work of the local church is not only biblical but a very practical way of standing shoulder to shoulder with the whole church and demonstrating your commitment and support.

The work of Brewood and Bishops Wood, God calls us to give 10% as a minimum back to him, there are many other calls on our money but our first priority should be to God. Then our giving to others.

In addition, 10% of money received by Bishops Wood is given in charitable aid to home and overseas agencies.

Visitors to the church are under no obligation to give.

How can you give?
Collections are taken at each Sunday service.

Set up a Standing Order.
By far the easiest and most tax-efficient form of giving, helpful for our own budget projections, is to set up a Standing Order: If you are a tax-payer, please fill in a Gift Aid declaration in order for us to claim back 28%.

Additional offerings are sometimes raised in the event of a disaster or a missionary endeavour, etc. These are taken in addition to regular giving.

If you want more information please speak to the vicar or covenant secretary -

Brewood MR N Skidmore, or Bishops Wood MR C Smith.
