The Parish of St. Michael & All Angels'
Caldmore Walsall
General Information
Site last updated on Saturday 14th March 2009.
This is a parish of some 6,000 souls, 50% from ethnic minorities in the centre of the parish.
The church built in 1871, destroyed by fire in 1964 and rebuilt in 1967, is an extraordinarily beautiful church in an extremely deprived area. We pray and work for the community in which we witness to the Love of God. The church is firmly within the Catholic Tradition of the Church of England.
Parish RecordsHistoric records of St Michael and All Angels (Caldmore), Walsall have been
deposited at Staffordshire Record Office, where they are available for
consultation by the public. These include the parish registers of baptisms
1871-1993, and marriages 1871-1946.
A catalogue of these records is available in "Gateway to the Past" - the online catalogue of the
Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Archive Service. The Archive Service's
website provides further information on
planning a visit to the office to consult records, should you wish to do so.
