Walsall Team Ministry
General Information
In 1988 the parish was made a Team Ministry. There are three churches in the team each with its own district and team vicar with responsibility for that district. The parish is socially and ethnically very mixed with all kinds of housing and all kinds of jobs (or no jobs). There are three Bluecoat Church of England schools and other state schools. There are several old peoples homes (where communion is taken). In the St. Matthew's district alone there are over 80 factories and 18 public houses. The population of the parish as a whole is about 16,000.
